‘Teli Seva Samaj, Mumbai’ is an organization to make selfless service to the ‘Teli’ community in various ways by creating unity and brotherhood through mutual cooperation. The organization's vision is that the society should progress in social, cultural, educational, economic and political fields.
This organisation operates with its main office from Lower Parel , Mumbai and has come a long way with it’s own 1 storey structure, housing ‘Shree Vishweshwar Sahakari Patpedhi and a small community hall on 1st floor.
Various activities organized by the Teli Seva Samaj, Mumbai
Shri Vishweshwar Co-operative Credit Bank Limited, Mumbai: TheTelugu Seva Samaj, Mumbai institute established Shree Vishweswara Sahakapathy Credit Package Limited in the year 1949, to provide relief to the poor and needy community members in the society and to relieve them from the clutches of lenders.
Caste Certificate :To obtain the caste certificate from the Collector / Tahsildar office, a certificate of Teli Seva Samaj, Mumbai is required.
Vadhu Var Suchak Mandal :Every Tuesday and Friday between 5pm to 8pm the volunteers of this matrimony service helps and guide the to be married candidates to get the suitable match form their database. There is a quarterly gathering arranged for these cnadidates for personal meetings between to be married candidates.
Judo-Karate Training:Judo-karate training is provided to the students and citizens of the community at a nominal cost.
Shri Sant Jaganade Maharaj Punyatithi Festival:Every year through ‘Shri Santaji Maharaj Utsahi Mandal’ the anniversary of Saint Shiromani Jaganade Maharaj is celebrated. The organization has also arranges ‘Haldi-Kunku’ and ‘Shravanotsav’. Through this awareness and enlightenment among women is constantly being carried out which has increased the flow of women every year.
Tel Seva Samaj Mahila Aaghadi: ‘Mahila Mandal’ is active since many years and arranges Shravanotsav, Mangalgaur, Jivantika Pujan, Haldi Kunku, Matrimony gettogether with great enthusiasm and success.
Community hall:The organisation allows meetings, cultural events, engagement ceremony, wedding, naming ceremony and so on at a very nominal cost. The seating capacity of the hall is 100.
Students Guna Gaurava ceremony:The organization felicitates and encourages the meritorious students of SSC, HSC, Graduation, Post graduation, Doctorate and as well as the achievers in different sports and cultural events. During these events senior citizens who have served the community with their selfless services are also felicitated so that the new generation becomes aware of their contribution to the community..
Spiritual programs: The programs ofSwadhyay, Bhajan and Kirtan are organised by the organisation.
